Description
There are two major problems when applying Velcro to Ibanez and Maxon pedals:
- The Velcro won’t stick to the rubber.
- When you try to remove it – it will take the bottom label with it, and if it’s a valuable vintage pedal, you will lose part of it’s value.
The original plate can be easily replaced by this plate – by following the these steps (SEE PICTURES for reference)
- In the kit you will get the following: 1*plate, 2*white spacer 2*screw (see pic 1)
- Remove the battery cover, and then the metal plate by removing the 4 screws (It should look like in pic 3)
- Place the 2 white spacers on the bottom two threads (see pic 4)
- Place the new plate carefully, and hold it in place (see pic 5)
- While holding down the plate, insert the two screws you got with your kit into the bottom holes, and tighten them (see pic 6)
- Take two of the original screws, and insert them into the top holes and tighten them (see pic 7)
When you’ll decide to sell your pedal, just switch to the original plate.
This plate has a copper shielding on both sides, so it’s immune to EMI/RFI interference.
* The product sold is only the plate, the pedal in the pictures is not included! *
